Wedding makeup is an essential part of your picture perfect wedding and like every aspect of the day, you want it to go as smoothly as possible. Adding a makeup trial to your reservation provides that extra comfort and peace of mind that your wedding day will be exactly how you envision it. A makeup trial allows you to see firsthand what you’ll look like on the big day. There are a few ways you can prepare for your wedding makeup trial so you can take full advantage of the appointment.

Come Prepared

• I’m going to go blue in the face (er fingers?) telling you how important skin care is for makeup and it’s just, if not more, important for your wedding makeup and trial. Leading up to your trial, you will want to maintain a good (tried and tested) skincare routine to ensure the best canvas for makeup. At 614 Beauty, we also offer facial packages to give your skin an extra boost of top of the line services and products.
• Day of your trial it’s probably an easy assumption, but make sure you come clean faced (no makeup)
• If you have an idea of the type of look you’re wanting, bring inspiration photos so your artist can work with you to get “the look.”
• What you wear can affect how your makeup looks so it’s a good rule to wear white (or whatever color your wedding dress/outfit is) so you can know exactly how your makeup will be on the day of the wedding.

Wear It All Day

• We try to schedule trials as early in the day as possible to mirror your wedding day. Typically, bridal wedding hair and makeup is done half way through the morning so we want you to get a feel of how it’s going to look throughout the day. Great wedding makeup will last all day with minimal to no touch ups.

• Why waste an amazing makeup day? Go out with your friends, have fun! You’re a gorgeous badass and you’ll be at peak gorgeous badasserie after your trial.

Be Honest in Your Feedback

• This is definitely not one of those salon experiences where you lie and say “it looks great” when you’re secretly screaming inside and you get to your car and cry about how awful it looks. If there is something you don’t like, PLEASE let your artist know! We want you to love your look 100% and be confident that your wedding day will be the fairytale you always wanted.
